Roadmaps is the 7th graders’ guide to their Jewish future. During their special weekend away, they will make new friends and work together to choose the thematic units for their 8th grade Pathways the following year. The weekend will provide a taste of the program with no more of a commitment than a weekend of fun! Get your name on a reservation list today by emailing roadmaps@tribethreesixty.org.

Pathways is a Jewish learning community for 8th graders that revolves around four mini-courses. The themes include American Jewish Teen; Discover Israel; The Big Questions; and Shmirat HaGuf: Guarding the Mind, Body and Soul. There are two formats for Pathways.

Track I: Each mini-course is thematic and comprised of two Sunday sessions followed by a weekend retreat. The complete program launches September 9 and includes eight Sunday sessions and four weekend retreats. Please note that parents are invited and encouraged to attend half of the Sunday sessions.

Track II: The first three mini-courses are comprised of three Sunday sessions. The fourth mini-course is comprised of two Sunday sessions, followed by a weekend retreat. Parents are encouraged to attend the second Sunday session of each mini-course.

Journeys, the program for 9th graders, begins on October 14 and includes six Sunday workshops and three Journeys to Southern cities. Traveling to Charleston, S.C., Birmingham and Montgomery, Ala., and Utica, Miss., the program will focus on Southern Jewish identity. Please note that parents are invited and encouraged to attend three of the Sunday sessions. Click here to download the Journeys application and more information.

Crossroads, which launched September 30, provides a variety of both core programs and exciting electives for 10th through 12th graders. The core program includes Pop Culture, Leadership Development and a Senior Seminar, while the electives range from Songleading and Israeli Dance, to Pirke Avot text study and Sex in the Texts. The program is scheduled for 15 Sunday evenings, during which a dinner/social hour is included, plus two camp Shabbaton retreats. 10th-12th Grade “Crossroads”: Sunday sessions are 5-8:30 p.m., include dinner, and are held at The Weber School.

Shabbaton retreats run from noon on Friday to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Camp Ramah.

Community-Wide Shabbaton Retreat for 10th-12th Graders: Join us for a weekend of celebration, community-building, exploration and learning. Called "Get GOD: Creating Your Own Personal Theology," it will be held October 19-21. For those not enrolled in Crossroads, there is a mandatory pre-weekend orientation meeting with teens and parents on Sunday, October 14 from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. at the Weber School. Those enrolled in Crossroads do not pay extra for this Shabbaton.
And Save the Date for the second community-wide Shabbaton, March 28-30, 2008. Scholar-in-residence Scott Fried will join us for the theme, "The Invisible Lives of Teens."
