J-Serve: National Day of
Jewish Youth Service

J-Serve 2008 Logo

Atlanta is just one city that participates in this national day of Jewish teen social action. Under the auspices of Panim: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values, J-SERVE gives teens the chance to get involved and give back to their community. In only its third year, JServe 2007 engaged over 7,000 teens in over 62 projects across North America.

Atlanta’s 2008 J-Serve event is being co-sponsored by TRIBE Three-Sixty, Marcus Jewish Community Center, Young Judaea, BBYO, Temple Beth Tikvah, Jewish Student Union and supported by the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. Supporting agencies currently include Camp Ramah Darom, Jewish National Fund and Jewish Funds for Justice: Spark. Because Atlanta is impacted drastically this year by environmental changes and the draught, the focus of our days’ activities will be eco-centered.

Teens interested in serving on planning committees should contact Michelle Resnick at michelle.resnick@atlantajcc.org.  Community Service Hours are awarded with participation.
